TED GRAHAM, MD (FACEP)
PHYSICIAN
Having grown up in Arlington, Texas, Dr. Ted Graham returned to Texas to join CapRock Health in 2016 after being a partner for 17 years in a private Emergency Medicine group in North Carolina. There he practiced emergency medicine while serving in multiple administrative positions including Chief of Staff, Board of Trustees member for FirstHealth of the Carolinas Hospital system, and on the Board of Trustees for Sandhills Emergency Physicians. Additionally, he served more than a decade as a Medical Director of Emergency Services.
His engineering background lead him to be chosen to serve as physician informaticist for the implementation of an Electronic Medical Record utilizing the Wellsoft platform and transitioning from transcription based documentation to using Dragon and subsequently M- Modal applications. Dr. Graham completed his residency with one of the pioneering programs for Emergency Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Graham attended the Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha with Honors and was conferred the Raleigh R. White award. Prior to attending medical school, he attended Southern Methodist University as a graduate student studying Environmental Engineering. Undergraduate studies included computer and electrical engineering and graduating with a Computer Science degree from Texas A&M University College of Engineering. He worked as an engineer for seven years before returning to obtain his Doctor of Medicine degree.
Away from medicine, Dr. Graham enjoys working with kids through coaching basketball in middle school and with the Boys and Girls Club. Dr. Graham also enjoys volunteering his time at the middle and elementary school levels working with students discussing anatomy, astronomy, robotics, as well as helping with the annual fetal pig dissection. Home life with his wife of 28 years and two teenage sons is a sublime frantic wonder. Traveling, hiking, basketball, soccer, landscaping, snorkeling, homemade pizza nights; it does not get any better.
