LON YOUNG, MD, FAAEM
PHYSICIAN
Prior to co-founding CapRock Health, Dr. Young earned his MD at Baylor College of Medicine then spent 15 years in full-time, direct patient care in multiple emergency rooms – first in Arizona, where he completed his residency in Emergency medicine at Maricopa County Hospital, and then in Texas which has always been his home. During this time, he served for over ten years as the peer reviewer for his emergency department and served on hospital peer review committees and quality improvement committees.
Outside of his duties at CapRock Health, Dr. Young is a passionate supporter of Texas Aggie Athletics and never misses a home football game. He also loves nature, philosophy and real estate investing. But this all comes secondary to his most important role as husband, and father of a son and three daughters -whose talents and activities keep him very busy.
