Dr. Daftarian is a cum laude graduate of the fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2004. He graduated from medical school in 2008 from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Tx and subsequently completed his Anesthesiology residency at Boston University in Boston, Ma where he was chosen ‘Resident of the Year’ 2012. Dr. Daftarian completed his pain management fellowship at the prestigious Texas Tech University, one of the highest-rated pain programs in the country.
Dr. Daftarian is board certified in Anesthesiology and in Pain Management. Dr. Daftarian is an active member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Texas Medical Association, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Daftarian is educated and experienced in all aspects of pain management and has specialized expertise in advanced interventional pain medicine including Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), Ultrasound-guided procedures, The Racz Procedure (lysis of adhesions), and fracture repair through kyphoplasty/vertebral augmentation. He is also one of two pain physicians in the area to offer Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) stimulation for patients suffering from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, post-knee and hip joint replacement pain, post-hernia surgery pain, and pelvic pain.
